Gym Leader: Mai
Type: Ghost
Arena: Taradine House, main hall. The entire place is made out of wood (save for the stone floor with a strange, mosaic mostly covered in a huge, red rug). A wide staircase leads up to a balcony framing the large, square room. Closed doors are set throughout the first and second floors, all locked. Statues of small devilish children adorn the curl of the banisters at the foot of the staircase, while portraits are hung between each door on the second floor. Every so often, the restless spirits of long-dead former owners of the Taradine House burst from random places, mainly the portraits. Throughout the rest of the house, furniture is either covered in dust and cobwebs or white sheets, and down in the stone-walled basement, there is nothing but a strange coffin.
Special gym rules:
-All battles will be 3 on 3 with one Pokémon out at a time.
-The trainer whose three chosen Pokémon faint loses the match.
-Any part of the Taradine House (except the outside gardens) can be called the battlefield. The battle simply starts in the main hall.
-Absolutely no weather-altering moves (Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Hail, Sandstorm, et cetera) may be used.
-Ground moves (Earthquake, Dig, etcetera) are not permitted except for in the basement and will result in an instant KO if used in any other part of the house.
-Opening the coffin in the basement releases a vampire that will grab the nearest Pokémon and pull it into the coffin. In other words, that's an instant KO as well. Not that you really needed to know that, but accidents may happen. That lid isn't nailed down, you know.
-Chills are limited to five times per Pokémon on all battles. Recovery moves are limited to once per move per Pokémon. (In other words, a Chansey can only chill five times and pull off Softboiled once.)
-The ghosts throughout the house are rather protective of their home. If a Fire attack touches any part of the house that may catch on fire and threaten the rest of the house, ghosts come out to smother the flames with the ectoplasm of their bodies before inflicting 2% damage on the user of the flame attack, plus cause the user to become paralyzed with shock for the rest of the round. So, Fire attacks may be used; it's just not recommended.

TM Name: Dead Man Walking
With an eerie cry, a Pokémon may summon forth darkness to cover the field and mask dark magic. Then, performing a strange ritual that involves a dance and a strange glow about the user, the energy of a recently fallen Pokémon (either belonging to the user's owner or opponent) rises from the ground of the field and enters the body of the user. With this, the user becomes possessed with the ability to use the fallen Pokémon's moves (except sig moves). As a price, however, the user is temporarily unable to use their own moves until the energy reenters the ground two rounds (six actions) later.
Type: Ghost | Accuracy: 80% | Damage: 0% | Effects: Obviously cannot be used in an arena with no ground... or if the user is the first one out. Thirteen action gap. For further effects, see above.
